2015 January Triple A Issue

AAA201501-ZellaDay-PinetopHappy New Year!  New Year means new music discoveries and this edition of Radio Informer is filled with music that might just likely dominate your airwaves in 2015.  Cover girl Zella Day is already generating notices from the traditional press as well as music bloggers while also garnering massive (20 million to be exact as of this publishing) streams on Spotify. Her debut album isn’t even out yet.  This could be the start of something big.

Speaking of big, Bleachers had a BIG year in 2014 with the #1 modern rock hit, “I Wanna Get Better” and placement on Rolling Stone, Entertinment Weekly and Spin’s Top albums of the year. Your listeners already know the follow-up song from the Chase commercial being played constantly.  It’s time to take ownership of this “Rollercoaster”.

Elle King is starting to get noticed big time now with “Ex’s and Oh’s”.  She’s already in the top 30 after only 3 weeks on the chart. “O-O-O” is that mighty impressive for a new artist.

2014 was also the year we were introduced to The Wind + The Wave.  This Austin duo is following up on the success of “With Your Two Hands” with “It’s A Longer Road To California Than I Thought”.  They are taking that long road as they continue to tour throughout 2015.  They are currently on an east coast swing and will be playing in their hometown at SXSW.

Other new music discoveries for you on this issue include the sultry Cindy Alexander, the gotta get out of your seat and dance music of Madi Diaz and the inspirational music from Drew Holcomb and The Neighbors.  You will also find a beautiful acoustic song from John Butler Trio to make you long for the end of winter.  Your new “favorite song”  is from O.A.R.  A couple songs that I think will be a multi-format hits are from Robert DeLong and Vance Joy.  Last but not least we bookend one newcomer with another one named Young Summer hailing from Washington DC.  So much new music, so what are you waiting for?  Dig in and enjoy!
